Aiguille du Midi by S-NOBLE Aiguille du Midi by S-NOBLE
The North Face of the Aiguille du midi, Chamonix, France. Another piece for my Summits exhibition. Big thanks to David Collier who kindly allowed me to use his photo as a reference for this picture.
Oil on Canvass (20cm x 40cm), done with a palette knife.

your work is amazing! I love how the impression of a place can be formed with lots of thick paint

i just can't stop staring at this - i love how realistic it looks, but it doesn't look like "just a photography" at the same time, because of thick layers of paint. and those colours, ahh.

This is simply incredible work. The thumbnail looks like a photo, but when zoomed in, it's clearly impasto work! Great job mixing the colors!

Thank you! I'm fascinated what you can do with those knives, because I just tried it myself and the result was clumsy... :) I like the feel of it though and might continue experimenting. Keep up the good work!
